Blog feedback and LR

WWW: This is a concerning picture after one month of Media. You have only completed one of the tasks required so far and while you’ve picked an excellent still image to analyse the video analysis does not offer much in terms of mise-en-scene. The best we can say here is that this is a valuable lesson in the level of organisation and workload required at A Level – now we need to step up, catch up and get everything posted on time.

EBI: Your still image analysis is solid but for the video analysis you needed a lot more. Firstly, you need to embed the clips from YouTube or at least post links. Secondly, while using an original and a parody is an interesting take on this task it isn’t exactly what was set – I was looking for a contrast in mise-en-scene. Most importantly, the concern is the work that you are missing – the first activity analysing film posters and the video recreation. You have missed repeated deadlines and extensions for the video task and I still don’t have a final version I can watch and provide feedback on.

LR: Complete any missing or unfinished work and post it to your blog.

Reflect on your first month of Film & TV Language. What aspect of Film & TV language have you most enjoyed studying?

i have enjoyed sound analysis the most, i liked the contrapuntal and parallel as it was quite funny catching the audiences reactions when the every bodies videos were played and it was quite funny to watch.

What is your strongest piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop before we start coursework at the end of Year 12?

i believe that my strongest was the contrapuntal and the parallel as i believe that it has been m best piece so far and i enjoyed it. i think my weakest was the mise en scene video recreation as i struggled with it quite abit.
